The Washington Artisan Cheesemakers Festival showcases a wide array of artisan and farmstead cheeses made in Washington. Meet the cheesemakers and sample some of the finest cheeses made in Washington State.

Summer Cheese Tasting Class @ Whisk in Bellevue

Come on out to Whisk in Bellevue for the Summer cheese appreciation class, I’ll introduce you to tasty variety of cheeses, each perfect to have al fresco for dinner or to take on a picnic. Learn what makes each of these cheeses unique and taste for yourself the glory of the curd!

We’ll top it off with 3 – 4 different wines and taste how they complement (or not!) the cheese. I’ll walk you through all the elements in cheese tasting. Grow your knowledge and palette; surprise and tantalize your taste buds with pairings; and ideas for your own summer meals!

I’ll be out at Quillisascut for the week working with the amazing team of Chef Karen Jungensen, Rick & Lora Lea Misterly, teaching culinary professionals how to milk goats, make cheese, harvest food and experience what it takes to feed ourselves using only ingredients from the garden and products from local farms.

Featured will be some of Damsel's favorite selections of Boushey Vineyard wines, including 2 limited, library selections paired with several delicious cheeses. The Roving Cheese Shop will be there to provide additional samples, education and your favorites to purchase!

Beer & Cheese Pairing in the Black Heron Lounge on Thursday, July 11th, 5-8pm (or until we sell out!)

We'll be offering a curated pairing of 4 of specially brewed mixed-fermentation beers & artisan cheeses.

The Black Heron Project is a passion project of Fremont Brewing where they create small-batch, experimental beers that focus on and highlight local grain, local hops, and local fruit.
